royally yours
04.16.2012

My grandfather used to bring my family doughnuts every Saturday morning along with a rhyming typewritten note. I’d love to do the same for my grandchildren someday (but first, I guess I’d need children…). In addition to being a stellar prop, typewritten notes are really quite lovely. Especially when they come from a candy-colored piece of machinery. I’m saving my pennies for one of these royal typewriters found on Etsy – a pink or red one would serve me just fine. Are you lucky enough to have a typewriter at home?

What a fun weekend treat! I am desperate for a typewriter. One day I'll get one in a fun colour. I just love the clack clack noise they make!
Love the pink one!
My boyfriend (a writer) recently shelled out an obscene amount of money for a typewriter. When I received my birthday card typed on it, it was instantly clear that it was worth every penny. There is something so special about classic typewriter font. I may even have the note framed ha.
So shabby chic and sentimental. I used to type stories on a typewriter that my parents had lying around when I was a little girl - there was something about typing on a typewriter that was so old fashioned and magical and alluring. I wouldn't mind one as cute as this red one at all!

They're both wonderful! I'd love to have a pink one. Of course I wouldn't say no to a pale green or a blue one either. Your gandfather sounds adorable
What a beautiful tradition! I love the idea of this kind of thing. How super sweet. Thank you for sharing it!
The pink is great. I still love typing
These typewriters are absolutely adorable! I've had some saved in my Etsy favorites for ages - I'm hoping I'll be able to purchase one soon as well!

Ohhh, how wonderful! I often browse vintage typewriters online, but haven't bitten yet. I am especially partial to an orange Hermes I've seen around.
