long live the queen!

Sixty years ago on this very day, Queen Elizabeth II ascended to the throne. She was just twenty-five years old – can you even imagine?! I guess une petite glass of champagne post-work will have to do. Or maybe I'll throw on a tiara whilst doing the laundry. How will you be celebrating?

Lovely photos but I have to point out that the top photo is not Queen Elizabeth II but her sister Princess Margaret.
