This has been so much in my mind lately, as I am currently working on a study area for myself after realizing that having a desk across from the boyfriend was just too, too distracting. Structurally it won't be ideal, but at least I'll be able to be alone (although, he keeps trying to come in and sit in my rocking chair or on my couch, and I keep having to kick him out). But truly, it's the sort of thing that I'd forgotten was so essential, until all of a sudden I was without one. A girl's gotta have her space.
I love that essay and I have a similar quotation hanging above my desk. Such a beautiful picture, too - very cheery to see when it's so dull and rainy where I am! Lexi
