I fell in love with the Hugo Guinness artwork hung in the newly-renovated 5th Avenue Kate Spade boutique as featured in the current issue of Lonny Magazine. Naturally, I wanted to find out more about the artist.

A quick google search revealed that the home of Hugo Guinness and his beautiful wife, Elliott Puckette, is featured in one of my all-time favorite books, Vogue Living: House, Gardens, People.

"'It's one of my favorite houses anywhere,' the filmmaker Wes Anderson tells me. 'I wanted to film scenes for The Royal Tenenbaums in it, but it is too narrow, so we re-created it a few blocks away. We used elliott's paintings and Hugo's prints and old metal garden furniture with the the paint chipping off, and a washed-out whiteness across the whole place. They both have perfect taste,' Anderson says..." - Daisy Garnett, Vogue Living: Houses Gardens People

Hugo's prints are available for purchase at exclusively at John Derion in New York City.

rita konig's inside out!

This may not come as a surprise, but I loved Domino magazine. I was devastated when the publication closed in early 2009. One of my favorite spreads in Domino was Rita Konig's New York City apartment in the October 2008 issue. I mean, who could forget those D. Porthault sheets?

Needless to say, I was ecstatic when I found out that Ms. Konig is occasionally blogging for the New York Times. I'm obsessed with this photo of her bedroom, found in one of her recent New York Times blog posts

Here are a few of my favorite images from the spread of Rita's apartment in Domino:
