monday's muse: catherine baba

Here are a few things you should know about stylist Catherine Baba: she bikes to Couture shows in 5” heels. She obsessively reads Colette. She’s inspired by old Cecil Beaton photographs and only wears vintage fur. Her signature scent? YSL Opium.  

Baba, posing above in her Montparnasse flat for 10 Magazine, is one of the most fascinating people to watch. This is legendary Parisian stylist Catherine Baba. Girlfriend was photographed cycling to the Christian Dior Haute Couture runway show during Paris’ Spring 2010 Haute Couture Fashion Week in 5” YSL heels, a luxe fur coat and a turban. Can you say “chic”? She makes me feel guilty for wearing my flip-flips on the train to work + switching to my nice shoes just before entering the building. If she can bike in 5” stilettos, shouldn’t I be able to walk a few blocks in 2.5” heels?!
