at home with inès de la fressange

I'm a day late and a dollar short, but did you see the December/January issue of Vogue Paris? It was all about Inès de la Fressange. My favorite editorial in the publication, of course, was this feature on her Parisian home. A few years ago, I posted two photos of her flat as seen in a British Vogue piece. Much to my delight, this Vogue article gives us a much more in depth look at the space. I love her trademark pink walls and the home's overall feeling of easy, lived-in elegance. Also, I'm dying for my own giant chalkboard wall. Inès is a genius!

inès de la fressange + british vogue

This morning, my friend Caroline texted me the above British Vogue photo of Inès de la Fressange in her Parisian apartment (she knows me so well!). The Francophile I am, I dashed to my tablet to download the publication's April issue. Lo and behold, the accompanying article - wherein Inès admits to wanting to throw her iPhone out the window each morning and says her car floors are covered in gum wrappers and crushed biscuits - was a great read. In other words, run to your nearest newsstand and pick up a copy!

(P.S. check out Caroline's L.A. apartment. She's so stylish.)

jenna lyons + british vogue

I know, I know - I just posted about Jenna Lyons last week. But honestly, I’d blog about the woman every day if I had enough content! Ms. Lyons and her storied Brooklyn home are featured in the September issue of British Vogue, and let me tell you - it’s fantastic. The staff at my favorite news stand must think I’m a lunatic by the way I gasped when I spotted the article in the magazine. I truly apologize for my shoddy scans - I’m hoping that Todd Selby, who shot the feature, will eventually publish these photos on his blog! In the meantime, I strongly encourage you to pick up a copy of the magazine to see this spread in person... It’s a must-have for your archives :)

british vogue, december 1947

I never leave Natalie’s blog without finding something over-the-top spectacular. In this case, it is the British Vogue magazine cover archives. The magazine has taken it upon themselves to scan the cover of nearly every issue they’ve printed-- all the way back to 1916! My favorite? The December 1947 issue featuring Princess Elizabeth’s royal wedding. I’d love to get my hands on a copy someday (and frame it for my gallery wall!). Take a peek at the covers, dear readers... I’d love to know which one strikes your fancy :)
