right-brained storage solutions
07.11.2010
Real Simple recently ran an editorial about right-brained and left-brained ways to get organized. It was an article I very much identified with! You see, I’m about as right-brained as they come and I find it hard to keep things organized in an “organized” way (if that makes sense). Thus, my organizational solutions have never been typical. This weekend, I think I may have found a stylish answer to keeping my jewelry at bay. The vintage tennis racket acts as a much more sophisticated version of the mesh wire earring holders from Claire’s that I loved as a 3rd grader. As far as the necklaces hung on the antlers, I have to credit Tim Walker—a photo of his (which I can't seem to locate at the moment) totally inspired me. What do you think? If any of you have creative storage solutions that you’d like to share, I’m all ears!

I love love love the antlers - I'm not usually a fan of that sort of thing, but with the necklaces it just works. I saw some cute storage solutions on This is Glamorous where hooks had been afixed to picture frames to hold necklaces and earrings, something I definitely want to try!
Would be great to see you at my blog sometime.

Fabulous ideas!xx
right-brained girls, unite :) i adore all of your whimsical storage solutions! as for me, i have a mild obsession with vintage teacups and saucers to house my gems. and anthropologie knobs {arranged like pushpins on my wall} to hold my necklaces.
