marilyn's softer side

I developed a newfound appreciation for Marilyn Monroe after watching The Seven Year Itch for the first time a few days ago (it's currently streaming on netflix.. if you haven't seen it, you must!). Naturally, I became determined to learn more about her. When searching for Marilyn photos yesterday, I stumbled across these unpublished images in the Life magazine archives. I love seeing her softer side.. I thought you might, too. I can’t get over her adorable monogrammed blouse! These '50s + '60s starlets really knew how to dress, didn't they?

These images of Marilyn are stunning. I love seeing old photos of her not too made up, just being. And I haven't seen The Seven Year Itch, but I will definitely watch it. Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
