favorite fall sweater
11.10.2010
Summer was fun, but I am thrilled that the weather is finally cool enough to pull out my old oversized Ralph Lauren fair isle sweater. I love it even though it is made out of thick wool and is a bit scratchy. It’s not particularly flattering, either (my little brother says it makes me look "like a linebacker," haha), but there is something about that old-school fair isle that I can’t help but adore. What are the cold weather pieces in your wardrobe that you simply could not wait to pull out again? I'm so curious as to what your answer might be!
the color appears darker in the photo :)

You're adorable! Love the wall color...I know you said it's less saturated in person, but I still like it! ;)
I just brought out my chunky sweater - there is definitely a chill in the air.
LOVE the sweater! I'm waiting for it to get a little bit colder here in Dallas before I hit the streets with my favorite cozy wear... But, I have worn my old (Junior year in High School) Michael Kors clogs and they are the best for this time of year!
P.S. I am still beyond jealous of your camera. Adding it to my Christmas list! And your hair is looking fabulous too!

I just bought a vintage fair isle sweater on Ebay and I'm waiting anxiously for it to arrive! In the meantime, I'll just admire your sweater while I wait! Aside from this new purchase, I have a pair of flat chestnut-brown suede Lanvin boots with fringe along the back zipper. I love them and can't remember cold weather before them! :)
I too have a sweater that I can't bear to part with despite being rather unflattering and slightly scratchy but it makes me feel so cozy! And to complete the look, I have a pair of winter slipper moccasins that are perfect for crisp weather!
Love the sweater, and your new purple walls! I'm thrilled the cold weather has arrived, too, but as can be referenced by my latest post, it's not been consistent. November heat wave in Indiana? I know. So wild. When it is chilly, however, I love nothing more than enveloping myself in a luscious coat of fur :)
I have a great Dale of Norway sweater that faces the same figure-flattering dilemma-I always pair it with very skinny jeans or riding pants and a pair of outrageous apres ski boots, and everyone checks out your terrific rump instead of your small waist!
I just discovered your blog, and I like it very much! As I've been scrolling through your posts, this is the photo I find most charming. I'm excited to check back often!
