did you know...
12.5.2011
Over the weekend while browsing through the New York Times’ digital archives (yes, this is the kind of thing that I do in my freetime…), I discovered this lovely snippet about one of America’s favorite idioms, “I die!” Widely (re-)popularized by Rachel Zoe, the Times suggests that the phrase originated from the late Diana Vreeland. Which makes me like it so much more. If you'd like, you can read the entire article, published on December 29, 1975, here. It's simply to die!

Who knew? that's pretty awesome! xoxo
i read your comment on peppermint bliss....and , you are so right! you can tell that LC's hair is extensions now that you mention it! her real dark blond hair is straight in the picture and right where her real hair ends, the light blonde extensions start underneath! what a deception...it sorta makes me feel better to know that she isn't perfect and nor is her hair. haha!
I think theres a good chance that most of Hollywood wears them! They're de rigeur here, it seems :)
xx
That is so good to know...I always thought it was a "Zoeism", ha!
Susan - so did I! Who would have thought? :)
I love this. Always great posts! Thanks for sharing!
Well, I didn't know! But DV is certainly the chicest so now we can feel comfortable knowing we're repeating her : ) xxKO
We need to start a DV fan club! I have a feeling that when the DV documentary rolls out next year, the blogosphere is going to be prettty ecstatic ;)
I like that much better than "to die for". Thanks for sharing!
