bobbi brown's lipstick files

I’m very much enjoying makeup queen Bobbi Brown’s new blog, Everything Bobbi. I’ve been a big fan of hers since I first started wearing makeup... Bobbi Brown Teenage Beauty literally taught me how to doll myself up (I also was obsessed with Kevin Aucoin’s books - if you don’t have them, you should consider purchasing!). Bobbi recently scanned in a few pages from her lipstick diary, which tells the story of how some of her most famous lip colors came to be. I’ll be honest: for bold, bright color, I always opt for NARS. But if we’re talking everyday color, I swear by Bobbi’s “Blue Raspberry.” My beautiful mom (who has pretty olive skin) has been wearing her “Twig” for ten years. Who makes your favorite lipstick?

I still reference my teenage beauty book! My mom gifted it to me freshman year of high school to start me on my first collection of brand-name makeup (all Bobbi Brown and NARS). NARS is totally my go-to but Bobbi is classic, classic, classic and I still use my bright pink blush by her all the time. Love these lipstick diary pages... makeup artists are so creative!
