bloch ballet flats
04.27.2010
When I read that Teen Vogue spotted Whitney Port wearing a pair of Bloch ballet flats last week at Coachella, I immediately went to Bloch’s website to check out their selection of flats. I really liked the idea of mixing dancewear with street clothes (I think it’s because I’ve always wanted to be a ballerina! Sadly, I am not graceful—my family calls me “Claudette.”). But ballerina or not, how can you not love these satin pomegranate ballet flats? I think I’d pair them with something masculine + rough, like ripped denim or J.Crew’s hand-painted military jacket. Thoughts?

beautiful* i agree - they would definitely need be paired with more masculine attire. great color and perfect for the season. XO, Jane
If I owned these, I don't think I would ever take them off. Love the idea of pairing them with more masculine elements. The purple would really pop against a dark green jacket.
Love your idea - YES, they would look so cool with a military jacket. These look really comfy too, wonder if they actually are!
ooh, glad that you ladies like! I'm salivating over these.
and, Piper-- I bet they are comfortable. And if not.. who cares?! They're so cute, I think I could take it :)
fallon, you are a genius. i am in LOVE! shopbop did an editorial shoot of ballerina-inspired styles last year and i haven't been able to shake the idea since. now i just need to figure out where to buy...
Mackenzie-- buy these!! I don't think you can get any more ballerina-perfect than these flats.
Those are stunning! And I've always wanted to be a ballerina too, that is my complete fantasy career!
i meant literally how do i buy them on their site?! i feel so silly but i can't for the life of me figure it out.
Love these! I have a pair of bloch ballet flats, perfect simple black leather ones that I scored off of ebay for a song. They are so very comfortable and well made, I need more!
