and the bride wore lavender

Who says that the bride has to wear white? Sofia Coppola, who married long-time boyfriend Thomas Mars in Italy on August 27, looked dazzling in her custom lavender Alaïa gown (...I wonder if she'll ever wear this frock again!). But in my opinion, it was one-year-old Cosima and four-year-old Romy who took the cake. Aren’t their matching white frocks adorable? After listening to an archived NPR interview between Frances Ford + five-year-old Sofia the other day, one can only wonder what her baby self would have to say about this :)

Tickled that my readers seem to admire Sofia's lavender wedding dress as much as I do! You all have a fabulous sense of style :)

I think she looks adorable and beautiful and completely age-appropriate. I salute the purple because really, she's not 22, and she's a mother now. So the jig is up, as Miranda would say!
