a flair for patriotism

I couldn’t let the day pass without posting this gorgeous table setting found in Joe Nye’s Flair. Normally, I'm not so into a red, white and blue color palette but this table is beyond eloquent-- how could you not love? Plus, I've always had a major weakness for toile. Someday (in years and years), I will host an exquisite Fourth of July (or Bastille Day) brunch and attempt to set my table in a similar fashion. Sounds so lovely, doesn't it?

ok, i bought this Joe Nye "Flair" book thinking it right up my alley and totally perfect and I'd love it. Turns out... I didn't really like it and I returned it, which is something I NEVER do! there weren't that many other inspiring images than the ones I'd already seen online. but if it had been a gift, i wouldn't have returned it.
